Help please! – BEC in 4 days

Hi everyone, I take BEC this Friday (aug.29). For those that used Becker, I read and finished all the hw questions for all 6 chapters. There is no way I can re-do all the hw questions because the hw for chapters 1-3 are going to take me forever due to all of the calculations (some problems are very wordy and take me 5 min to do all the calculations). The homework for ch.4 – 6, I can probably finish in 2 days. I also want to have time to do two becker final exams.

Can you guys please give me any recommendations on how to study/what to do for the next 3 days? Should I just do a few questions for each chapter for 1-3, then re-do all the hw for ch.3 – 6 (IT, economics, process/operations management), and come back to chapters 1 – 3 if I have time?

Also, for the written communications portion, I havent really prepared for it. I just read the solutions for the simulations at the end of each chapter to see how they formatted the answers. I consider myself a good enough writer to format my answers in a similar fashion as becker does.

    Thanks!

First thing, take a deep breath! You'll get thru this. Second I would recommend that you do 1-2 progress tests per chapter of @ 24 questions a piece. This will help identify your weak areas, next do a couple progress test (24 ?s) on your 3 weakest sections. Then take the first practice test including the WC just so you have any idea on how long it will take you and for practice. Make sure you reive the ones you got wrong & the ones you guess right on so you know why the answer is right. Then I'd do some Ninja MCQ if you have (20 or 30 ?s) and intermix a couple of all section Becker progress tests (24 ?s). I'd take the second final about 2 days before. I'm warning you it's brutal – don't be discouraged if you don't do well. Go thru and review the questions you missed, etc. Then just do more Ninja or Becker MCQ tests and consider redoing just the MCQ on the second practice test. You'll likely do better the second time. Don't worry the MCQ on the test aren't nearly as long & brutal as Becker's.

    Good Luck!

I would simply start churning out MCQs non stop(whenever you have any spare time). I did them in sets of 24 to mimic the testing experience. This can be accomplished in Becker using progress tests or with either the NINJA or Wiley Test Bank. I had access to all three and some of the same MCQs appear across all of them as all feature AICPA licensed content. The next thing I would do is memorize the financial analysis ratios in between practicing MCQ sets until you know them inside out. I would not sweat the writing section as it is well within the realm of possibility to pass BEC without writing a single sentence on the written portion, although I would not recommend going that route.

Thanks guys! I only have becker. I also have the ninja notes. Is it really worth buying the ninja MCQ this late in my final review session? I will only have 3 days to use it, along with re doing the becker questions and the becker final exams. I took AUD last month and only used becker, and passed. Please let me know. Thanks!

Should I even bother trying to re write the NINJA notes as well?
