    Ugh, where to begin.

I passed all four of my exams first try with an average score in the mid to high 80s, had everything done and ready to go with by January of 2016. Needless to say things back in January were pretty optimistic for me, but that’s when the IDFPR came into the picture.

They cashed my check within a couple of days of me sending my application so I figured I would have my license in a couple of months. However I waited until the beginning of April with no response and then finally I received a letter of deficiency in the mail that basically stated my proof of experience was no good.

I started a new job back in December after spending about three years in public account. So I had one of the partners at the firm I worked for fill out the experience verification, he emailed a signed copy to me and I printed it and included it with my application. Problem is, the IDFPR rejected it because the signature was not in pen.

The first week of May I called him up and had him fill out another experience form, this time I had him send the original copy directly IDFPR.

However, IDFPR never contacted me so I decided I should try to contact them, what a nightmare. They have super long phone wait times, the people who answer the phone only read off a script and won’t answer any of my questions. So I email them and they don’t respond, it’s got to the point where I send one email a week and maybe get a response one out of four emails.

The first week of June I finally received an email from the IDFPR saying they never received my latest experience verification. So I called the partner at my old firm and he assures me he sent it to the correct address.

At this point I’ve been trying to contact IDFPR to figure out what to do next, but I can’t get a hold of them.

Pretty soon the communication process with the IDFPR will have taken me longer than it did to study and take the exams, I just really don’t know what to do. I wish I could get in contact with someone over there.

Can you just see if the partner will send you an original copy again and you can send it via certified mail and also get a receipt notification when they receive it.

That's a decent idea, I would hate to bother him again since I no longer work for him, but I guess if it's my only option.

I really just wish I could have an open line of communication with IDFPR.
