I have failed BEC 4 times now. I got a 68,68,69 and now a 73! I have used Yaegar but I am feeling I really need something else. Can you all give me some suggestions on what to do? I’m so lost. I have passed all of the other sections but just can not get anywhere here. I feel like i know the material but obviously not well enough. HELP!!

    Hey Jeshan…

I've just started studying for BEC for the first time this week. I am using Becker. I'm NOT going to recommend you use Becker because this is your last exam and it wouldn't be cost efficient. I would perhaps try the Ninja notes. I haven't actually used them myself, but from what I've seen on here, they help to give you the little edge you need to pass. And you weren't that far from passing on your last attempt.

    Good luck!

Actually I already have to ninja notes too! I love the ninja notes! I have read and reread them so many times I pretty much have them memorized. Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

@jeshan312 I know how you feel, BEC is my last section and I'm waiting for my score. The first three tries my score has been 74,72,73. I do not know what else to do if I failed this time too. I have done the Wiley test bank over and over and over.

Try focusing on the area you did bad in.I suck at the COSO stuff and seems as the exam always focuses on the questions I do bad on.

NINJA notes are great, but on the exam everything is not straight forward as it is on the practice questions and the ninja notes.

I know how you feel about the wiley test bank. I think i have done each question in there at least 10 times! I try to focus on why they are right and wrong but it really is not helping anymore. I'm just so frusterated with this test.

I have not failed yet, but anticipate failure based on COSO ERM Framework & IT, therefore, I just ordered the the Wiley manual guide that has to good chapters on both I believe. I ordered of Amazon for $45, which would typically run around $75. Not sure how effective it will be, but after taking yesterday's test, I was clueless as to what they were talking about. Also, manual might become useful as you further your career.

    Best.

Would anyone recommend a final review from anyone? I don't know if it would help so I don't know if it would be worth the money.

    Thanks!

I am retaking BEC in May after failing for the first time 2 weeks ago and after reading this thread I am completely freaked out. I just bought the ninja notes and am working the multiple choice questions in the book and the testbank… can I ask you this question–

when you take the practice tests on the wiley test bank for each section do you score high? I am using Yaeger and still struggle with several sections that I plan on mastering before my 2nd attempt, but I know if I could have done those calculation problems FASTER then I probably could have passed the test– my test was loaded with them and I am super slow…

I downloaded the COSO internal control and ERM documents and have read them thoroughly as well— plus used Khan Academy.com for economics plus bought an AP Economics book which helped somewhat with the Econ section. I have had to supplement a lot of these sections because I just needed more information- Best of luck to you

have you tried Yaegers Cram Course?
