I know there’s alot of talk about hand writing your notes on stacks of legal pads and note books. I’ve found it sticks better by pulling out that laptop and keying them either staight from the book as you read (currently using Becker)or from Jeff’s notes. I appear to work better at home or work (i.e. appears to look more busy) that way. Thoughts?

For FAR I only handwrote my notes, for REG I actually handwrote my notes then typed them. I've mostly handwrote my notes for BEC so far.

Usually for a big test in undergrad I would type them it saved time. I tend to think quicker and go back over it once typed i.e to clean up the doc. That allows me to stop and re-read. Just a thought for anyone that travels to work with alot of notebooks like a was doing. Plus I can easily pick back up with my thoughts if I get interrupted at work or nred a quick break. And my coworkers tend to think I'm super busy.

Notes aside, I feel like giving up as of today, even though I've invested so much time, I won't. I've put in a lot of what I feel are quality hours, but I just scored a 35 on a sample MCQ test (20 questions). Feeling rather stupid right now. What the he$@ is the answer?

What do they call an accounting person, who only managed a 75 on all four parts of the CPA exam....you got it, CPA!!!

One thing I like about typing notes is that they are much easier to go back through and read. Especially for me because my handwriting when writing notes is comparable to a doctor writing a prescription

I prefer typing my notes as well.
That was what I did in college.

I also print out my notes.
That way I can study them anywhere, and not require to bring my laptop along.

Excel14, you are getting close to exam day so note taking is not where you're at right now. You should be in Sim and MCQ world right now.
