Really depnds on what material you are using and also if you work full time or not.

If you work full time, I personally think 40 days is not enough for FAR unless you REALLY cram. That means no weekends from here on out and every morning and night you are studying. Alienating friends and family. Cutting out drinking. Utilizing your lunch to memorize flash cards. Spend the first 16 days reviewing your books and notes and create your own hand written notes for all topics. Spend 17s doing and re-doing and redoing and redoing and redoing multiple choice questions. DO a minimal of 200 each day. Then you got 7 days, 1 more week left for reviewing and doing more MCs and etc.

    FAR-81!!
    AUD-69, Retake: 84!!
    REG-86!!
    BEC-81!!

Experience- 7 Months of CPA Experience and counting!

I definitely think it can be done but you have to have a lot of time to devote to studying. I would say that if you're working full time, give yourself more than 40 days. If you're not working full time or you can study while you're at work, it is possible. I'm using Rogers & he has a study plan to pass FAR in a little over a month but it's like 60 hrs of studying per week. That's what I'm going to do but I can study while I'm at work. Are you working?

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

I did FAR in about 40 days while working full time (others in about 30-ish days). It isn't pleasant, but it was doable. You really have to be focused to pull it off properly.

The link below links to my blog where I tracked what I did each day and how I did/felt going through the process. FAR was my last section and I definitely was a bit burned out by time I hit FAR. It worked though, so hard to complain about the whole thing.
