Hoping to get some advice. I have my CPA, ~2 yrs experience in the federal sector, and have a contact who can refer me to Deloitte’s federal consulting arm. Ultimately, I do not want to stay in the federal arena and hope to use this position to move into Deloitte’s commercial consulting side. Having never worked for a cpa firm, I’m not sure how feasible that transition would be.
As an alternative to the above, I’m interested in applying for an FDD advisory role if commercial consulting is unlikely. Can I get some input on the likelihood i can switch to commercial or the likelihood that I’ll get FDD? Which route you would personally pick and why?
