So, exam is on Nov 29th… and I just finished the 1st book of CPA Excel … still have the second one to go through. I wanted to leave a week prior to exam to just review and just OD on MCQ (using both CPA_Excel MCQ and NINJA MCQ).

For those who have used CPA Excel for FAR, do you think I could finish the second book in the next 3 weeks? That would leave me with a full week or so to review.

Thankfully, I only work 2 days a week so I could dedicate time to studying (as well as weekends of course).

Do you guys think this is possible? I know I’m in a tough spot =/

Just feeling a little down right now =(

I used CPAexcel for FAR, and yes I'd say you can get through the 2nd book in 3 weeks (I spent 6 weeks studying for the whole thing, plus 1 week of final review). The 2nd book has a lot of complicated topics (business combos, derivatives, leases, gov & not-for-profit, if I remember correctly), but it is possible. I feel like the derivatives section goes into way too much detail, so I wouldn't feel too upset if you don't have time to fully grasp those concepts.

I felt that the government and not-for-profit sections were very helpful and relatively easy to understand, so hopefully that part will go quickly for you.

    Good luck!

4corners, you're not alone, we have the same exam date, too! I still have to finish F9 and do all of F10 (becker) before I can even start my final review. Also, I don't know about you but I think I forgot 80% of what I've already done…i'm starting to freak out as well

The truth is, we have a month, which is a LOT of time!!

I keep telling myself to stop thinking about how much ‘little' time I have and to use all this time to study!

    Good luck to you!

@Determined CPA I feel your pain… my test is Monday and I am completely freaking out. I do not feel strong about this test and audit is about to expire…. really torn on what to do.

Still have a BEC retake looming over me too 🙁
