How can an NTS be issued on a Sunday?

    Mildly annoyed. I paid for the thing yesterday because I was hoping on getting it around 5th-8th. That way my NTS would be until the first week of January 2017. I wanted that just in case I find a job in September and decide to take it slow with BEC and study over the Thanksgiving /Christmas holidays (I never do anything that time of year). Of course, I don’t get an email even though it says an email was sent. It must be partially automated. So I probably won’t get the email till Tuesday when the NASBA people go back to work. Ugh. Should I complain and say that the NTS should start the day that I actually get the email?

    Just wait and see what the NTS says, they may consider the weekend and holiday. I think you'd be hard pressed to have a legitimate complaint that the service was too fast.

    Maybe you can get a 90 day NTS like they give me.

    That's kind of the risk you take. I paid for mine Friday, 7/1, received notice 7/2, and my expiration is 1/1.

    If you've already been through the application process, these things get turned very quickly.

    I got the email today. Made my AUD appointment for the end of August. I'm taking REG mid-July.

    Really would like to finish this thing before the end of Q3 but don't think I can bang out BEC in less than 2 weeks. Didn't see any available appointments in September anyways. There are 4 testing centers near me. I guess seats do open up last minute when people freak out and change their appointment.

    I'd imagine that saying you passed all four CPA exams on your resume would look more impressive than just three…hmmm….

    Go on the NASBA website and click “Reprint NTS.” You can usually get your NTS faster that way before you get the email. If it's not there then it hasn't been processed.

    FAR = 86 4/22/16
    BEC = 80 6/01/16
    REG = 07/26/16
    AUD = ?

    I'm genuinely confused…you're taking AUD at the end of August and upset that your BEC will only be good till Jan 3rd not 5th? How much differences does 2 days make when you've got 5 months to study for it? I'm sure testing centers will be open Jan 2nd and 3rd (though many are likely to be closed the 1st), so you should still be able to take it in early January if needed. I wouldn't worry about it till you get closer. 🙂
