I'm in the same struggle. Business Law was one of my weaker subjects my last attempts, and it still confuses the crap out of me. MCQing it out is helping.

I've been banging through Ninja MCQ, and I'm about 100 hrs in w/ it. It's starting to click finally.

I would recommend getting a good foundation and just banging out MCQ's and TBS's

Like with bankruptcy, there are only three main ones – CH 7, 11 and 13.
I think the other ones are related to farmers or fishermen. Really LOL? The real world application seems pretty slim, no offense.
Anyways, even within 7, 11 and 13, I think it would be wise to focus on key concepts.
For example, CH 7 can be entered into by individuals and businesses, there can be a voluntary and involuntary petition, there is a trustee, and so on.
For CH 11, the key points seems to be the % of creditors that need to approve the re-org plan.
Everything in bankruptcy is pretty basic if you just break them down into their individual sections and make simple bullet points.

    For example:

    CH 7 – straight bankruptcy
    1. Voluntary & involuntary petitions
    2. Individuals and businesses
    3. Trustee

Just get a clean and crisp word document with key facts going, review it a few times and you'll be golden.

I had a lot of trouble with BLAW too….at the end of the day I still didn't fully understand it I don't think.

But I am glad it's starting to click. I used NINJA for REG, but also watched the WILEY videos. I think what helped me the most was the MCQS though. NINJA notes help too I think.

B-Law was actually my “favorite” subject on any of the CPA Exams. I think it is the most logical of all the topics.

Some of the more in-depth study can be tricky, like negotiable instruments, and contracts, but keep in mind you will not see it all on test day. I got a handful of BLAW questions on REG, and they were very high level, do you know the rule, type questions that, if you studied, would be no problem whatsoever.

Just mull over the concepts until they make sense, and try not to worry too much about the minutia.

@bharp33, I wish that was the case. I was weaker on BLAW last time I sat and stronger in tax and that yielded a 69%. I can't take it lightly this go round. You never really know what you will be tested on , these tests are as random as can be…

I just kept listening to the ninja audio for Business Law on a daily basis about a week and a half before the exam and that helped me pass.
