    Hello Everyone,

How do you guy’s approach the Becker homework MCQ for each chapter?

Currently, I am reading each chapter and than completing all the MCQ for each section. After completing all the chapters for Becker and the related MCQ homework questions I plan on working on WTB MCQs. Not sure if this is a good idea or not. What are your thoughts on this strategy?

    thanks in advance all!

I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)

    Brief overview of study method:
    1. Skim through chapter quickly
    2. Watch lecture videos
    3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
    4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

I would say you have a good study plan there. What I used to do is watch a video section from the becker self study, do the homework until I get them all correct, then repeat, then do the SIMs. For my retakes for FAR and AUD I didn't watch any lecture videos because I already hilighted and wrote the notes on the pages. I read through the chapters instead, by video section, and took my own notes as well in a notepad. Then I would do the homeworks untill I got them all correct and then repeat. I passed my retakes doing this so it seems to work for me. For BEC I am going through all of the videos first to get the hilighting and notes, and then doing what I did for my FAR and AUD retakes. Good luck!!

    FAR 66 (07/01/13), 75! (10/01/13)
    AUD 64 (08/12/13), 80! (11/23/13)
    BEC 84! (05/22/14)
    REG 77! (08/28/14)
    DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your study plan is solid. What works better for me is going a step further and doing the questions after each sub section in a chapter. Reading a whole chapter feels like a chore and it's easier to stay engaged if you break it up more. Working with problems closer to when you read the material appears to work better for comprehension. I also try to do the questions another time within a couple of days to provide further reinforcement of the concepts. I find that there is a huge difference in my comprehension if I do the questions a second time a few days later. I would move on to the Wiley questions after you do the Becker questions twice.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

thanks studymonk and Freyer002 for your responses.

@StudyMonk for Becker, how do you determine which questions from the homework are for each subsection? It seems like all the homework problems are jumbled up. Please let me know if I'm missing something.

    thanks

If you put in time and do all the MCQ for beckers and understand the concept, you don't need to supplment with anyother review course. Watch the lectures and take the notes. Then do the MCQ for the section you just watched the lecture for.

Key is the MCQ, where you learn the most.

I passed all just using beckers. (1st attempt)..good luck
