I promised myself a Bespoke business suit. In the $2000-$3000 range. Yeah, I am a clothes horse. I have even picked out the fabric.

I am curious as to what else my fellow candidates have promised themselves.

Oh yeah, immediately after I have done the exam, I go to the most expensive steak house I can find in New York, order something nice and drink 2 beers. That is one hell of a nice dinner on your own – exhausted from exam, all alone in a foreign country, and the firm is paying for the booze. 🙂

I'll be out of town on a job when I get my (hopefully) last score release. The hotel we stay at has a pretty nice little bar in it. Pass or fail, it's going to be a groggy morning the next day! I have an upcoming wedding to pay for – so no expensive rewards for me!

I am going to invest in gold doubloons, hord them in a basement somewhere. When I have enough, I'm going to buy an expensive swim suit and dive into the sea of gold like Scrooge McDuck….

I'll also buy a new Jeep Wrangler if I have time.

Hey why don't you all get back to the books instead of dreaming about passing the exams

krokofilen I wasn't teasing you or anything. Is it going OK? Are you still on corporate/partnership stuff or are you on individual?

jgmart04: I'm really good with discipline, always been. Sacrifices everything right now, and do 10-12 hours a day. It helps if you have a hardcore study plan and follow up on it on a daily basis to see if you're behind or on schedule (you will never be ahead of time, unfortunately). It also helps to make sure everyone in your surroundings know that you're “gone” for 4 weeks or so… I told colleagues, girlfriend, friends and even my personal trainer just to count me out until mid-November. So I sort of isolate myself, put my study plan in absolute focus, and then just take my through this shit like a machine.

Akvod: Going pretty good, I am now on tax which lowered my score on NINJA MCQs by 5 ppt or so. Doing property taxation now, entities tomorrow, and individual Saturday. On schedule, and in line with my expectations in terms of score on MCQs. How's your progress?

Taking BEC on the 24th (right when I get my results for AUD back). Went through the material once in August, so I'm re-reading the book and taking handwritten notes. Still on B1… I'm just really burnt out at this point.

Hoping to finish re-reading and re-doing MCQ for B1-B6 by the 16th-ish and then spend the last week reviewing by skimming through chapters with outlines, doing progress tests, and hopefully a practice test the weekend before the test.

So IDK, I can't feel anything anymore. Ahahaha…

I went to Tahiti when I finished my Master's… I have to come up with something better for the CPA because this has been a bigger challenge. Although, I have to give back a lot this time too… I think I used up whatever good karma/luck/prayer capital I had during these last 3 exams.

I eventually want to own something from all of my favorite designer labels. So I buy something after a major accomplishment. When I graduated with my Masters I bought something from Chanel. After CPA I am getting something from Burberry. I am pretty sure my husband has given me the green light on an entire outfit. I'll verify that right when I am about to press “purchase” on the computer.

I've promised a family vacation, to be determined… It unfortunately keeps getting pushed off and likely won't happen until summer break. My mom is going to take me on a mother daughter quick getaway to Mexico in January. Hopefully I pass REG in early January, although I won't know for sure until February most likely.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
