My brother’s friend came over at 10:30pm on Friday night and said I remember when you used to be fun and went out to the bars on the weekend. Meanwhile I had spent the last 45 minutes reading an IRS publication to see if my interest income was taxable this year. That was the moment when I realized I would do literally anything to put off studying. I’m 24 years old reading IRS publications because they are more interesting then what I need to get done, what has my life become?

What have you found yourself doing instead of hitting the books?

Watch Dance Moms or clean the house! At least the cleaning is somewhat productive. Whenever I'm deep cleaning, my husband goes “So you have a lot of studying to do huh?” Yep.

My procrastination kryptonite was the fact I had Becker installed on my iPad. It was a blessing in that I could study anywhere. It was a curse because I could open 100's of other iPad apps BESIDES Becker when I should have been studying…

Golfball – Even work stuff seems more interesting that studying for the cpa exam. I have a really hard time studying at work even if its audio notes.

Everything is a distraction when it comes to studying for this exam.
