Well, I’ve spent two months studying nonstop and taken BEC and AUD. I also work 20 hours a week, am in grad school, am married (no kids), and am involved with my church. Basically, I’m super busy. Even still, I studied 85 hours for BEC (and passed) and 104 hours for AUD (I really hope I passed). However, I’m getting to the point where I’m starting to feel a bit burnt out. I won’t let it get me down – I’ll keep plugging along, but I worry about the efficiency of my study at times.
Basically what I’m wondering is, how do you keep your mind keen and ready to continue learning from section to section? I’ve just begun studying for FAR and I know how much studying is ahead of me – I just want to make sure I’m being as efficient as possible. I think it’s important to get some meaningful downtime and let your brain rest everyday.
I try to get some physical exercise a couple times a week I also have a rule that I stop studying at 9 PM, and I take a break from electronics and read some books. Like most of you, I stare at a computer screen all day long. I like to woodwork, and my wife got me a subscription to “Fine Woodworking”. The articles are interesting, and it’s a good diversion for me. What do you do to stay fresh?
