    Hey everyone,

So I began my FAR studying last week and I am already very discouraged. It’s been a while since I took most financial classes in college and I am having a very hard time absorbing all this information. To make matters worse I’ve only gone through 3 of the 9 chapters!!! How has eveyone handled the mass amount of information that is covered on this exam? I knew this would be harder than the other sections but never anticipated it being this difficult. I still have 6 weeks until my exam and yet I don’t even think that is enough at this point. Thus far I am watching the lectures, then going through the chapter while taking notes, and then doing the becker questions. Any advice or experiences from others would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there. I don't have much advice because I am in the SAME boat. I take it 8/25 and I haven't even finished my chapter 3(I have 8 chapters through Roger CPA). I have been trying to do MCQ's from all chapters on the weekend to refresh my memory. Hoping it works!!!! I had planned a week of review the week of exam BUT I am behind.

    GOOD LUCK!!

You tackle FAR the same way you eat an elephant…..one bite at a time! Keep going through it and do MCQ over and over. It will come together in the end! I was in tears the week before I took it and ended up with a passing score.

Im studying for FAR right now and its been a roller coaster. Some of the stuff i remember and some i dont. Im guessing it is harder for those that have been out of college for a while. Are you coming right out of college?

    I know that feel, bro.

You have done well on the other three sections so keep up your study habits. One day at a time. If you can pass those, you'll be fine with one more 🙂

Make sure you keep doing MCQ from previous sections as you go through the material.

And don't forget to get very comfortable with governmental accounting.

Other than that the elephant analogy is good.

I'm in the same boat in terms of FAR. I've been able to retain a lot of the older material by re-reading my own notes of the prior sections every night after studying, and doing progress tests so as to keep the material fresh.

I've found this works well for me, but it would obviously depend on your study method / how you learn.

    BEC - 83 | AUD - 85 | REG - 77 | FAR - 87

Hey congrats on passing. Im kinda in the same boat you were in. I just finished chap 1 of far and im feeling pretty good. I have 2.5 months to study but im still nervous cuz if i fail i lose aud credit. I just want this to be over haha. Can you share your far exam experience with me was it harder than expected? Was the becker material on point? Did youstick to your initial study plan? My plan is to watch lectures, do pm, read text, do pm for each chapter. Then do each chap pm over and over again. How did u study for sims? I would really appreciate any other tips you may have. I need to pass this exam! So much invested and so much hinges on it! No pressure right?
