Hey everyone, I’m new to this site and just joined literally an hour after I took my REG exam for the first time. I just wanted to share my experience and would appreciate everyone’s feedback.

So I’ve been studying pretty much nonstop since September using Becker self study and decided I was finally “ready” to take it today 10/26/2015. This has been my second test after I passed FAR in August with a 77. Now when I took the REG test, I really had no idea what to expect and assumed it’d be similar to Becker. I was surprised that there were at least 5 or 6 questions on each testlet that were complete curve balls that were never covered. I’m not saying they were hard, but they certainly required me to make educated guess on many MCQs. On that note, i realized that each testlet were pretty consistent with the first one, as if it wasnt increasing in difficulty. Most of the questions were relatively short but I still thought they were challenging. This is despite me rigorously grasping the concepts covered in becker and getting pretty decent practice MCQ scores of above 80% for each one after lots of practice. Does anyone know if the questions being longer is a sign that the test sections are being more difficult?

I’ve also noticed that historically the pass rates in Q4 are lower than average, does this mean my test will be graded more strictly?

Now I thought the Sims would be hell, but ironically the 6 that were given were pretty doable. I only skipped one of two research questions because I had no idea where to find the source. Anyways, I’m really on the fence about this. I was never good at guessing on exams and really hate how the exam barely even covered topics that I’ve memorized.
