How is gleim review course

    Hi i am new to this site and i am planning to come down to us from india in the month of Feb …is it advisable to write during winter month as i have heard that winter can get worst there….please help in providing your views on Gleim review course. Since i am planning to take all four papers in the month of feb with 5 days gap between each papers.

    It is a good option for someone who really only wants books and not video lectures to study with. If you can stand primarily looking at black and white pages for an extended amount off time it is a good option. Best of luck coming and taking the exams, especially doing all 4 within a month!

    Gleim is good. Especially since it only costs ~$400. What part of the US are you testing? Anywhere in the south is nice in the winter. The only concern I'd have about your strategy is studying FAR and REG at the same time. There are many situations where GAAP and tax are different.

    @yolo i am planning to write from New jersey where my bro is staying and working. i think i shouldn't have a problem with FAR as i am currently doing chartered accountancy course in india and some of accounting principle concept between IGAAP and USGAAP are same. i haven't started studying tax ,if i feel i m getting confused or it is difficult i shall extend my stay in us till April and write REG separately in that testing window.

    Look at some of the other topics on the message board for advice about the order of testing. I think Gleim had more than enough multiple choice questions. Around 2000 MCQ for each test.

    @yolo thanks for the reply .sure will look into it . I have certain doubt how is auditing standard in aud and accounting standard tested in CPA ,since in indian CA examination there will be questions separately in relation to auditing standard and accounting standard.

    In your case I would most likely recommend doing:

    FAR

    AUD

    BEC

    REG

    That way you are seperating out REG as far as possible in hopes you do not confuse GAAP with Tax law
