I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)

    Brief overview of study method:
    1. Skim through chapter quickly
    2. Watch lecture videos
    3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
    4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

When you find yourself creating a convoluted way of getting the answer, just admit you don't know and review the answer. I have wasted so much time beating my head over and over when I could have reviewed and moved on to more questions or learning something else…

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

It's better to save yourself the time and read their explanation. But make sure you understand the ins and outs of the explanation. Don't just read it and move on

I agree with everyone, if you don't understand the question completely, look at the answer right away but thoroughly learn the answer. The quicker you get through MC the more efficient your study time will be.

If I don't know the answer, I'll look at it. And by “know” I mean really know. So, for Auditing, that may mean after 5 seconds because I know that I don't know the answer; for FAR, that might mean after 3 minutes cause it takes that long to do and double-check the math to realize that I don't know how to compute it. 😛 Struggling with the question for a bit can be helpful to piece together the knowledge you have and apply it to the question, but if I know that I don't know it, then just cause I can make a correct educated guess isn't good enough for me – I want to use it as a learning opportunity to read through the correct and incorrect answers in order to know the answer next time I see the topic.
