I was fortunate and passed on the first time but my plan if I did not pass was to focus only on the advanced accounting topics, financial statements and Journal entries. One of the things that I like most about the FAR exam is that you can fairly easily distinguish the difficulty level between topics. The AICPA does not tell us how many points are assigned to each question but I am sure that a question that requires you to calculate pension cost is worth a lot more than a question on GAAP hierarchy. Unless your results revealed extremely weak areas I would focus on topics that you think will be worth higher points on the exam and get you through sims.

Oops I should have typed RTFQ before I replied. I read your question as what should I study for FAR a second time. I would review what I listed above in about 3-4 weeks.

I think 4 weeks should be enough. But when I took FAR the 2nd time, I took it on May 21st, found out I failed with a 74 on June 7th, and then started studying a week later and had my retake on 7/13. So I still had a lot of info retained when I took it.

This was also my 3rd time, but I was completely unprepared the 1st time (in January).

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)
