FAR is the only one I bothered flagging any questions on. The MCQ are just one of those things that if you don't know it when you see it, then you probably just don't know it. I flagged about 3-4 on each testlet. I didn't pass, 61 =( . I had the most random test ever, nothing on it was anything that was focused on in the material! I didn't do well on the SIMS either. I am going to take a chapter by chapter approach this coming up time for FAR.

AUD I didn't flag any. I either knew it or I didn't. I won't know how I did until May.

Almost always from my phone... please excuse my typos!

I've never flagged any on the first testlet and then maybe 4-5 on the second and the third.

    BEC - 80 (Becker)
    AUD - 92 (Becker+NINJA MCQ)
    FAR - 87 (Becker+NINJA MCQ)
    REG - 90 (Becker+NINJA MCQ and Audio)

I normally flagged between 5 and 8 questions per testlet on the tests that I passed and 2 to 3 on the ones I failed.

The tests get harder when you do well. If you think you're getting corn-holed, you're actually doing quite well.

I remember REG and BEC. For REG I flagged 3-4 in the first testlet and about 8 in each of the next two. For BEC it was about 4 in the 1st testlet and about 12 in each of the next two. I got a 92 and a 93. I think I flagged about half in each testlet for AUD and I got a 95. Flagging does not necessarily correlate to score. I'm still at a loss for how these work out.

FAR I flagged a couple on testlet 1 to go back to. Testlets 2 and 3 I stopped as it was almost every question. Still waiting on my score.

    Journey Started - January 2015
    FAR - 4/2015 - Passed
    AUD - 7/2015 - Passed
    BEC - 8/2015 - Passed
    REG - 11/12/2015 - Passed

I didn't keep track for FAR or AUD. For BEC I flagged about 3 questions on the first testlet and about 5 or 6 on the last 2. For REG it was similar. Flagged about 3 on the first testlet and about 5 or 6 on the last two. What was more telling for me was the fact that on all 4 exams my testlets were noticeable in going Medium, Hard, Hard in difficulty. As Billbrasskey said, it feels like you're doing terrible but it's actually a really good sign.

Now I'm just praying that I did solid on REG MCQ to offset simulation mistakes. Hoping for a passing score on May 5. 75 is all I need 🙂

I personally don't flag..either I know it or I don't. I personally think the extra time I would spend going back to a MCQ is better time spent on SIMS.

I stopped flagging after the first test. If I didn't know right off, I didn't answer it yet, which left the tab blue (or not blue, I can't remember), so it was easy to visually see which ones I needed to go back to by the tab color.

I did the easy ones first, then the medium ones, and then the hardest, which helped me immensely with time management. If I was out of the alloted time for that testlet, sometimes I needed to just choose an answer and move on for a few of the most time consuming questions. Leaving enough time for the sims is crucial.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I only flagged on the first test and then decided I didn't have time to go back and try to redo questions so I just gave it my best answer and kept going forward. Flagging made me start questioning myself too and it reduced my confidence.

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

also don't flag. I either know the answer or I don't, what's the point of flagging. I do click through all the questions before exiting the testlet to see if anything is off or if there are any second thoughts

I typically flagged 4 or 5 in the first testlet for all my exams and then 5 to 10 in the second and third testlets. My strategy was to answer anything I was immediately sure about and anything I could not possibly make an educated guess at because, for the latter type of question, there is no sense in sitting there trying to drum up reasons why one answer was better or worse than another. I flagged questions for which I could positively eliminate one or two answers and questions that required multi-step calculations because I preferred to get through all the “easy” questions first.

I flagged any question for which I struggled or wasnt sure of the answer or couldnt answer right away. Most tests, it was about a third of the testlet. You can see my scores to date below.
