I personally spent more than $3,000 so far (review materials and exam fees) just for FAR and AUD but not pass them yet. I am wondering how much does it cost you to pass all the parts? I saw lots of people took all of the parts more than 1 time. it is added up to a lot of money. there’s one I counted more than 10 times. wow. I really need to get another job just for this test.

    please share your pain.

Just under $1900 as of now but I need to re-take at least AUD, so I'm looking at between $2,200-$2,500. And my firm (thankfully) picked up the cost of Becker. I can't imagine what the pressure would be like taking this exam without any financial assistance.

Let's see… I've taken and passed 2 (AUD and FAR), and have what should be all my materials for REG and BEC. And I've already signed up/paid for REG.

    Paid so far: $1,429

Remaining if I don't have retakes: whatever it costs to apply/register for BEC, about $220, I think

That added up to more than I thought!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I've paid for every single cent of my journey and am extremely bitter about it knowing others get it for free. Esp cus I've paid for every cent of both my degrees too (paid for as in Sally Mae owns my degree still). I did everything wrong!

    Roger study materials: Around $1500

    Exam fees: 10 * ~$250 = $2500

Maybe another $100 on random stuff.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

    I bought:

    Wiley books: ~$120

10-point combo: ~$300 (at the time, if I remember right)

    4 exam fees: $723.20

    Application fees to state: $200

Unless I'm forgetting something, just under $1350. Add in gas to drive to and from testing centers (1 1/2 hours away), probably about $1450.

Becker w/ flashcards – Firm payed for it but probably costs around $3200

Gliem – I paid a discounted $680 for the entire program as a supplement (they have the best test bank in my opinion)

NASBA – Paid $862 to take all 4 sections of the exam over two windows.

    AUD - 72,(Retake 8/14)
    FAR - 81
    BEC - 80
    REG - TBA (Scheduled 7/15)

    Becker, Gliem

I've spent too much on this test because I was dumb & unmotivated when I first started taking it.

Becker for all 4 sections (reimbursed by my first employer) ~3000

Rogers for 3 sections (reimbursed by second employer) ~1000

A lot of sitting fees, some of which have been reimbursed.

Repurchase of Becker for three sections (not reimbursed but luckily 50% off) ~1500

Purchase of WTB to supplement ~160

Purchase of WTB/Wiley Notes for iPad to study while traveling ~100

    Purchase of Ninja Audio ~100

….Now I'm going to go cry in a corner and think about all the money I could have saved if I had just gotten my $hit together the first time around.

@amanda I will not say exactly how much I've spent already but I'm pretty sure I can beat your number. As an international student you have to pay twice the fees of taking the exam internationally and not to mention the travelling costs like air tickets and hotels etc. So I guess i'll join in the corner and both of us can cry together 😛

    BEC - 78

I would estimate between retakes and materials and license application fees, I spent around $4,500.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and throw up under my desk.

I've spent around $9,000. My total is so high mainly because in 2010 I spent a ton of money on study materials and test fees but I only sat for two exams and failed both miserably because I didn't put forth much of an effort. Also because of all my BEC and AUD retakes. My total will go up again if I don't pass BEC and AUD because I lose REG at the end of August.

    REG - 78
    BEC - 74, 67, 69, 69, 70, 79
    FAR - 76
    AUD - 69, 69, 69, 74, 85

    2009-2010:

Exam Fees: BEC, REG, REG, FAR, FAR, AUD @ ~$250 each = $1,500

    2012-2013:

Exam Fees: REG, FAR, AUD, FAR, BEC @ ~$250 each = $1,250

NINJA 10-point Combos: FAR, AUD, BEC @ average cost of $250 = $750

    Total = $3,500 + $149 for CT Ethics Exam

Work paid for my first set of study materials (Becker – which I hated). Then they offered a second set of free study materials for people who were still at the company but had not passed yet after a few years. Which was really lucky. Although the second set was CPAExcel, so not as expensive as other options out there.

However, since it took me so long to pass the exams, they did not reimburse me for a single dollar of exam or application fees. I completely understand losing the bonus because of it taking a while, but no longer qualifying for reimbursement pissed me off.
