FAR:

Assuming that I will be doing poorly on the SIMS and get a 70 percent on that part of the exam. (70 * 40 percent =28)

Does it mean that I will have to get a 78.3333 percent (78.333 * 60 percent =47…..47+28=75)on the MCQ in order to get a 75 overall score?

Are all questions in MCQ weighted equally?

There is no good way of estimating. There are too many factors involved including testlet difficulty, question difficulty, pre-test questions, and others. Mind you, that didn't stop me from trying either.

On a lighter note, two ten-sided dice rolled randomly can be about as good as any other method for estimating scores.
