how to get the result

    I know the answer for this $80000 but I cannot figure out how to get that number

    Sales – VC – FC = return of sales

    N – 0.60N – 20000 = 0.15N

    Just need to use some basic algebra:

    N – 0.60N – 20000 = 0.15N

    1. Add 20,000 to both sides:

    1N – 0.60N = 0.15N + 20000

    2. Subtract 0.15N from both sides:

    1N – 0.60N – 0.15N = 20000

    3. Consolidate the Ns (1.0 – 0.60 – 0.15):

    0.25N = 20000

    4. Divide both sides by 0.25:

    N = 80000
