How to study for the writing part?

    Hi everyone,

I am actually waiting for my REG score, but I decided to start studying for BEC.

So, I heard in BEC there is a writing part. How to study for that section? Do I just memorize key words and just try to make some paragraph about the subject?

I am not really good in English writing.

Also, I plan to take BEC in the first score cutoff date. Is one month and a half good enough time for BEC?

(Assume if I do one sample test per weekday and 3 sample tests per weekend day.)

    Thank you!

No need to memorize anything. Look at some examples and just know your material. If you try to write big words and there are some grammar mistakes, you will lose points. It is only worth 15% so even if you score weaker, you could pass unlike AUD or FAR. Just worry mainly about getting down the material and the MCQs.

Thanks CPAHOPEFUL11. That give me plenty of confidence. I am actually a pretty good MC taker.

I actually passed FAR & AUG, I am just stuck with REG. I am not good with taxation.

Do you know how close is the test compare to NINJA / Wiley / Becker testbank?

I spent about 15 minutes looking at the sims in Wiley test bank. That's it.

As long as you can string together a semi-coherent memo, you are fine…

ninja mcq raised my score on reg by 21 points, can't vouch for it on any other section, but that was the only difference between my 62 and my 83…

for two months i did ninja mcq constantly….

If English is your native language and you can proofread, don't study for writing. If English isn't your native language, then practice writing anything with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The writing component was developed because the AICPA realized they had a problem when a CPA couldn't send an email. The only thing they are looking for is if you can speak and write proper English.
