I always eliminate the MC’S down to two choices, and end up choosing the WRONG one 🙁

I’m a HORRIBLE multiple choice taker.

Any advice?

This was me at first with Becker. Becker questions are so wordy and I feel they like to throw as much at you as they can to try to trip you up. If this is your first time through, expect to suck at the MC. You'll get better as you progress and you'll see that when you review, you're nailing them correct. If you're reviewing and this is happening, it's because you don't fully understand the material or you're overlooking basic info.

Keep what I said above in mind. Here are some basic tips.

ALWAYS keep an eye out for dates…Don't let half year crap fool you.

If you get a NOT or EXCEPT question, usually three will be alike, so pick the odd one out.

When narrowed down to two, be weary of the higher amount if tax is involved.

BEC - PASS

FAR - PASS

AUD - PASS

REG - PASS

BOOM!  JUST LIKE THAT, I GOT MY LIFE BACK!  =D

My advice is practice till you get good at them, because for the most part theyre actual former CPA questions, and theyre fairly similar to the real thing. I spend most my study time on MCQs. Just go through them read why you got them wrong, and continue practicing them!

It does not mean you are a terrible test taker.

It just means you are not fully comprehending the comcepts yet and need more work and study time. When you actually and fully comprehend the materials and concepts, you will be able to distinguish between the correct and incorrect answers in minimal time.

Just continue working at them.
