As you can see from my signature, Ive taken these dang tests multiple times. Im getting super depressed about failing these tests… My BEC section expires in June, I started studying for the exams last year, my Becker has expired, and I dont know if I want to spend 3000 on it again, as I messed up and didnt utilize the becker guarantee.
Anyways, I am seriously thinking of just walking away from the CPA exam….. anyone else feel like this?!
BEC: 73,78 79
AUD: 60, 60, 70, 80
FAR: 49, 64, 71, 82
REG: 68, 68, 73, 78DONE.... OMGFG DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well 2 ethics tests to take.

Hey..I know where you're coming from! I feel like giving up too especially after some unpleasant things at work. Everyone has different problems but when it comes to the CPA Exam..don't give up!! You've taken ALL exams so far..that is commendable! Even if your BEC expires, you will still stand a VERY good chance to regain that credit. Regardless I am sure you will pass sections before that! Good luck!

Take some time to regroup, you can scream and cry in frustration if you need to (I have many times), but get back up and dust yourself off, and most of all Never give up!
Good Luck and remember you're not alone 🙂

Your AUD and REG scores are in the high 60- low 70's range, that means you are right there. You just need a little extra push to get you over the hump. Don't give up!! Do MCQ's until you feel sick of them, and then do 100 more just for the heck of it.
If it makes you feel any better, I've worked in tax for a few years and it took me FOUR tries to finally pass REG (tax person can't pass the tax part of the exam….seriously??!). I can laugh about it now, but it certainly was not funny as I was taking it time and time again. I have a post-it on my bathroom mirror that says “allbiz11, CPA” as a reminder every morning that I WILL pass and I WILL be a CPA. Whatever works, right? 🙂
Be confident in your ability to knock this out. It's all about your mindset and determination to study and know material.
Good luck, and keep at it!

January 4, 2014 at 3:09 am #501023ipasscpaParticipantI am sure you can do this. We all feel that at some point. Giving up is not an option here, especially once you are gone that far.
Good luck!!!!

January 4, 2014 at 4:00 am #501025AnonymousInactiveLike everyone here, its very disheartening. I cried so hard when I failed my parts but I am keeping at it. When I see other experiences in the forum and suggestions it helps remember that I want this expensive certification! Friends may or may not understand how it feels and the amount of concentration and things to put into it, but the people here all have had these feelings some way or another. I just started my CPA path and I was about to jump ship and say I was too dumb. But I am keeping at it! Do not give up!! Its attainable!! Good luck!!!!!!!

Looking at your scores, you have taken every section multiple times. Why are you doing that and how is that a good approach? You don't get a participation medal for sitting on all 4 sections if you don't pass. I have seen this multiple times from posters recently who were having trouble but were sitting for all the sections.
You need to just get your FAR materials and study that for six months if that is what it takes and pass that test! Don't even schedule FAR until you are prepared and know you have done the work you need to pass. Don't go into the test center for FAR until you have gotten an 80% on all the FAR sessions in the Wiley Test Bank! That is the only way you won't just be using the actual exam as a diagnostic exam and you will give yourself a chance to pass–work all the journal entries and examples from the book too in preparation for the sims.
You are not allowed to open any other books or materials for any other sections until you pass FAR!!! Next take AUD just in case you didn't pass FAR because the materials are so similar and your AUD test should be pretty easy. If you happen to fail FAR like I did, finish up your AUD, and then go immediately back to FAR.
The point is that you need to focus on only one section–you are spreading yourself too thin. Start over with FAR if you want things to to get easier when you 18 month window restarts. You don't need Becker, just get the Wiley Test bank and a Wiley book at that is all you need and it will only cost you $150 per section for those tools. You already saw the lectures in Becker so just do yourself a favor and skip them this time and work through the Wiley Book and Test Bank.

January 4, 2014 at 3:39 pm #501029MintsRGoodParticipant@OP Take a look at my signature and check out that 74 on FAR…it's my last part. If I'm not allowed to quit, YOU aren't allowed to either. I agree that jumping around on parts isn't the best way to go. Pick a section and stick with it until you pass. Don't quit!!!!
