I am so done

    I am so done with this test. I am taking my (fingers crossed) last section of this test in less than three weeks & I couldn’t feel more burned out right now. I have been studying nonstop basically since the last week of March, because I lose credit for REG come August 28th so I’m on a pretty tight timeline. I have taken basically 3 weekends off from studying this summer and I’m really starting to feel the stress & burnout right now. August is really busy for IA so I’m juggling a ton of stuff going on at work with fitting Audit into 4 weeks and knowing that I can’t fail. Anyways, just wanted other people to commiserate with because I want to punch this test in the face, pass, and then hold a sacrificial burning of the books ceremony at the end.

    I too am starting to feel it. I started last year in September with the CMA, and now I am engrossed in the CPA, and it looks like one more year.

    I am not complaining too much though, because I am making progress. Stay focused on that.

    Keep going. No stopping.. No Burnouts allowed. It will feel good when all this is done with. Keep the eye on the goal the target.

    Take some time off from work. Take your vacation days. call out sick …. sit home and study and get it done.

    @MOD Thats a lot of studying!

    I know everyone is feeling burned out by their last test..but I've stopped and started this thing so many times that i've never really felt it. I think that its the pressure of knowing if I fail, I have to retake REG. So I'm overstudying like crazy. I'm getting in about 5 hours every weekday (2 hours at lunch plus 3-4 after work) and then at least 12-14 hours on the weekends. I seriously go to work, book a conference room for 2 hours at lunch, work until then, study, work after lunch, go home and study and go to bed. Its to the point where I'm annoyed if my coworker tries to chat with me because I have so many things to do lol.

    I guess I'll just be that much more thankful when August is over 🙂

    I'm over it too.

    All four tests taken in six months, two were retaken for a total of six exams in six months. Passed three to date. I get the fourth score on August 21. I don't think I passed, but just maybe I did…

    In any event, I'm chilling for a bit if I fail. I have until July 31, 2015 before I have to worry about losing any score.

    It feels pretty good knowing that I have three done and only need two measly points on the last one.

    I feel the exact same way!

    If I fail Audit this go around.. I do have one more chance before I will have to retake REG. I have been on this CPA journey for what feels like an eterity. All I want is some down time to clean my house! I would love to go on a date with my husband or a vacation with my family. I'm just over this whole test.

    BUT I try to remind myself that I have ONE test left. I NEVER thought I would make it this far. I just thought I got lucky with REG and I wouldn't be able to pass the others. I keep saying I only have X days left to study. Only X Friday & Saturday study sessions. WE CAN DO THISSS!!!

    {R: PASSED!! (I passed one!)}
    {B: PASSED!! (Halfway there!)}
    {F: PASSED!! (1 left!!!)}
    {A: PASSED(I am done!!)}

    I feel your pain. I really thought I passed REG, but I missed it by 2 points. So depressing! I took another week off after receiving my score last Friday because I'm just so disappointed in myself. After this weekend I'm starting to study again. I've got my schedule all planned out and purchased even more NINJA material in addition to the Yeager/Wiley products I've been using. If I don't pass REG in October, I will lose BEC so the pressure certainly is on! In the last two years at work I have used 90% of my PTO for this exam. I am really ready to get to use my PTO for something FUN!

    It gets better when you're on the other side, I promise. Power through this tiny little bit more you have, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You'll be so happy that you did.

    It sucks. You're so freaking close. But I will tell you, once you are on “the other side” … it's like the Himalayas off of your back. You get your life back. You get sleep (unless you have kids). You have less stress. A lot less stress. You can pop a bottle of vino and not have to worry about, “I can't do this, I have to study”. I studied for two years … married, 2 little ones, and a full time jobs. I barely saw my family. Never saw them on Sundays. But it was worth it. And the relief and respect you get is so gratifying.

    You are so close. The last 100 yards of a 26.2 mile journey. Suck it up for the last 2-3 weeks. You got this, and will NEVER have to deal with it again. FOR. THE. REST. OF. YOUR. LIFE.

    Thanks for the encouragement/motivation guys! I probably feel more burned out than I did for other sections because I've done 4 full sections in Becker (lectures/note taking/all MCQs) in two weeks plus working full time. I just need to remember that I only have 20 days of studying and then I could potentially be done forever!

    Indeed, about 20 days before my exams, I turn off my social media, A71, minimize all outside distractions. and go one on one with the exam materials.

    The second, and I mean the EXACT second you get your 4th passing score you forget all of the pain that got you there (like childbirth LOL)

    I was beyond burnt out, had been either working full time and in school or working full time and in school and studying CPA from June of .2003 through October 2011. Honestly can hardly remember those 8 years but enjoying every second of every day NOW!

    I'm kinda bummed I can't burn any books. I bought Wiley eBooks off of Amazon (they were only $10 for some reason).

    I guess I'll have to burn my work laptop.
