I am pretty sure that I did bad in simulation part.

I only used the Yaeger Home Study to prepare for REG because Dr. Yaeger

emphasized that. He said he just want us(students) to do the assigned problems.

I studied 6 weeks for REG so timewise, there is no problem.

Please kindly advise what additional questions with Yaeger Home Study can help to boost my

score. I can’t afford to buy another review course. Are Supplementing with Gleim multiple choices

    and CPAreview-for-free good?

Please kindly advise. I failed 2 exams in this window so I am very disappointing.

    FAR- (Passed)(1x)
    AUD- (Passed)(5x)
    REG- (Passed)(3x),84
    BEC- (Passed)(2x)

I just passed with Yaeger Home Study after having failed with Yaeger in quarter 1. In the 1st Quarter, I followed Phil's advice to the letter the first time, only did his assigned problems, etc. I got a 73, which I thought was lucky as I felt I didn't really master the concepts because I all but memorized the MCQ's Phil Assigned (which I though would be enough because he assigned over 1,000 MCQ's I think) I did feel he assigned too few questions in law and I evidently performed weaker in law for Q1. For Q2, i put the highlighter down, and took insane notes. Also halfway through I bought Gleim's testbank. I loved it. It cost 50 clams, the guy said it would work great on any system (I was/am very disappointed with Wiley's testbank that came with Yaeger, I only ever got it to work once, and when I did, there was a good 7 second lag between questions. Gleim has WAY more questions, etc, etc, etc) it really drove home Phil's teachings and I believe since taping, he has recanted his whole, only do the assigned questions, don't use the testbank thing per his online radio show. I watched between 6-8 hours of video on the weekends and did questions 4 weekend nights. I left 2 weeks for review. the first week, i re-copied my notes, it was time consuming, hurt my hand like hell. I think it helped, at the time i liked it, but the second review week i kept thinking i shoulda just spent the week doing MCQ's. The second week, I did MCQ's/watched his CRAM. I think you should get the CRAM. He's giving it to 2010 and 2011 students for 50 bills as it includes the updates on things like 179 exp. start up amort. etc that is outdated in the Homestudy. For 50 dominoes, you cant go wrong. Good Luck to you. I like his course a lot more with my 87 than I did with my 73! His toupee story during Corporate Tax Lectures was hilarious, I still chuckle when I think of it.

    @Drust1985,

I really appreciate your advice. I have to think about buying Yaeger CRAM course and Gleim MCQ CD.

Congrats. You passed entire CPA exams. I have to study harder and efficiently.

I used Becker 2011 only, so I am not sure how I can help with ur studying material.

But what I can say is that start to pay more attentions to the tiny details when u do it next time, I am sure ppl didn't pass REG becuz of sim! They are extremely detailed now in 2011.

Also, never skip a single topic in the book, a lot of ppl said Bankruptcy are unlikely being tested, but I had 2-3 questions on that topic alone in the MCQ.

So yea, I hope my advice helps. I understand how painful it was to study REG, glad I am done with it.

    Good Luck!

I agree with Drust1985, I used Yaeger in Q1 and failed. But I failed mostly because somehow I didn't do half of the assisned problems. If I were you, I'd do all the assigned problems and then test whether you understand the concepts using Wiley test bank. Trust me, that will be enough to pass. I also bought Glems test bank but realied quick that it had a bunch of stuff that wouldn't be on the test and it was just over kill. Stick with Yaeger and you'll slay the beast

I found Phil's recent REG youtube videos to be very important. Questions on these videos are imminent!
