I got 74 in regulation, this was my first exam in second attempt. I got 71 with beckers and tryied yeager. This is it for me, I can't do this. I have two kids 3yrs and 5months old, and a full time job. I ignored them so much already, its just not worth all the effort.

hmubeen...don't you DARE give up! Two exams are not enough to warrant tossing in the towel.
Many people on this blog have young children too. Study time and hours can be worked around it accordingly. Listen to Jeff and heed his advice.
I'm not going to say it's easy because it wasn't for me. But many people pass each exam after only a couple of tries.
I know of two people locally who took their first CPA exam...failed it (miserably)....and then quit.
and you know what (?)...that's EXACTLY what the test is designed to do......weed out the people who don't want it bad enough.....

I was studying for FAR after regulation exam and decided to continue. I can't giveup, how am I gonna tell my kids that their mother was a loser.
I will try again and study harder next time. (eventhough I did try my best last time)

@hmubeen use Yaeger and Wiley software, I am sure you will pass Regulation. It has worked for me, it will work for you too!

hmubeen - You should not give up, and if it were to make you feel any better, received today morning AUD fail score of 68, and this was my 3rd try. I will try it again in Jan/Feb, for the 4th time, and will not let it discourage me. You were so close....it is doable.

Hey, I take FAR 5 times and I am waiting for my score I know I pass this time. I have two busineses and a lot of work but i just decide to take my time but be persistent. Don't sacrifice your family but don't give up. :)

Let me ask you somthing, how did you study for regulation the 2nd time? I'm planning to push it for last. Since I have a wedding in the summer and I won't have enough time after FAR. Let me know what do you think.

Don't give up! I haven't been on this site since I passed, and peeked in today to see what was going on. You are so close, I know it's hard, but keep pushing! You WILL PASS!! I did it as a single mom with 2 kids. It is possible!

hmubeen - When doing REG the 2nd time, I used Yaegar/Wiley book and software again as I thought, that I did not practice enough the first time. Phil Yaegar was really good at explaining the material so it was about practice and more practice. Along with the Wiley book ,I used the Wiley software as well for addnl MCQ, which really helped.
I think your plan sounds good, since, you should give yourself enough time, till you are absolutely sure of the material.

i did it with 2 kids and a full time job as well. it was hard and stressful but thought me many lessons and I am glad I didn't give up. I was having moments of desperation maybe every 3 months. so don't give up!

I finally passed BEC in 11/10 with 79 after several attempts, and failed AUD 69 and REG 68
in 11/10. I was very discouraged. It hurts, I will not lie.
Long story short, this morning my daughter was cutting up her pancake
into smaller sizes, and she got upset and told me she just could not do it.
She threw the fork.
I told her that she could not let the pancake defeat her.
She finally did it all by herself.
Think of this exam as a pancake. Cut it up in small pieces and defeat it!!

Good one JamaicanGirl!! The first exam I took was BEC (last year), failed it with a 74 and was 4 months pregnant!! It really sucked as I was supposed to be on bed rest. Somehow got my doctor's permission to study and moved onto Audit. My doc said I had to wrap up the studying in 5 weeks due to my health condition. I took Audit and prayed really hard and I passed it!! This year, with an hyper-active 15month old, I took Bec, Reg, and Far. When I signed up for Bec early this year, I injured my back and was put on therapy for 3 months. With a new born and a broken disc, I studied laying on my tummy during the night time & literally got only 2-3 hrs of sleep per night!! This put me out of track with the 18month rule & really had to rush with Reg (did it with 3.5 weeks, no sleep) and Far (just took in Nov).
I got my Far score yesterday & I passed it! I'm finally done!! I've missed a lot during my son's first year of growth and now I'm relishing my time with him! If I could do it, anyone can do it :-) Good luck and my best wishes!!
