I have a question on exam location

    Hi all,

    I’m trying to apply for California but I hope to take the exam in Indiana. Does anyone know if this could happen and when can I choose my preferred exam location?

    I don't specifically about California, but in general, you can take the test at any Prometric location, no matter which state you apply in.

    Yep – from my understanding regardless of where you're registered, you can take the exam in any state. When you schedule the exam, you get to select the testing location and are able to select any location that you want (type in zip code or city/state and it will bring up a list of the closest testing centers). I took 3 of my exams in my state and 1 in a neighboring state due to scheduling.

    I registered for the CPA in CT but physically took all my exams in MA.
