I took BEC today and logged out by mistake before starting my last two essays. I clicked "EXIT" out of carelessness and was not able to return to the test even after clicking "return to exam." I felt really good about the exam leading up to this happening. Does anyone have some testimony or insight that could give me some piece of mind?
The person at Prometric told me NASBA would consider my situation. I'm not sure what this means..

Well First off I would like to say, I am sorry that happened to you today.... Think about this 85% of your score is from the MCQs and only 15% from Written Communication, so even if you bummed the WCs, you can still pass the exam.... So I take it you felt good about the MCQs so I am sure you passed it..

Honestly, I doubt that NASBA takes any situations into consideration, lol.
But I can assure you if you did extremely well on your MC part you can still pass. I had less then 30min to complete my WC, and wrote a few sentences for each of them. Being objective, if I were AICPA, I would give myself very few or no points at all for my WC.
Most BEC takers will tell you that WC part (if you actually write something decent :) is "giveaway points" and I totally agree. However, being so called "giveaway points", they are sort of "extra" 15% toward your score and meant to compensate for your weaknesses in topics tested in MC part. Therefore, theoretically, you still have a decent chance of passing without WC part completed.
All you can do right now is wait and move on to your next part. Who knows, maybe you'll see your passing score soon!

ouch. yeah- i doubt NASBA takes anything like that into consideration. they probably just said that to make you feel better. move onto the next one and try not to worry about it - i know, i know, easier said than done.
