I need some encouragment. I want to give up. I’m one test away from being done.

I’m overwhelmed (FAR) and feel stupid. I’m tired of being stressed and not sleeping. I’m tired of basing my life around this exam. I’m scared that I’m not good enough. If I fail, I lose credit for the first section I passed. The pressue is on.

    I feel sick.

@Rocky — I understand completely. If I don't pass FAR and REG I lose AUD. Don't give up — you are so close! You can do this. I keep trying to picture myself about life on the other side! I have my freak out moments and then tell myself get back to studying. Keep the faith!

I would rather not reveal my score, but considering how pitiful my studying was, I didn't do as badly as I could have.

If I can pull it together I might have a shot at a 75.

@Rocky123 Your post was under Health Issues, Work & Family Drama so I'm assuming this is related to personal issues not the FAR itself. I also read your other post on what's going on with your personal life and if I'm correct, you mentioned that CPA means everything to you. If you can find that same motivation that you have at the beginning of this journey, I believe, that will help you get thru this overwhelming situation. You're just one test away from this misery and then you will have your life back. Don't loose focus, don't give up!

I failed FAR and lost credit for AUD. Guess what playa!? I came back and passed them both (brushes shoulder off). Not only are you close, you will finish. I failed FAR because I was functionally homeless and under extreme duress for a period of just over a month. Did I mention I work full time, commute 1 hour + and haven't seen the inside of a college classroom in close to a decade? Easy or hard; both roads lead to the finish line. I did it, and so will you.

The human mind is capable of a lot! Just take a look at my AUD score. I decided to go all out and damn well nearly posted a ninety.

I'm coming back to check up on you. You got a tough few months ahead of you. Get it done!

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

I take FAR in less than 6 weeks. I should say 5 because I want a week of SOLID cramming/review.

The pain now is NOTHING compared to the pain I will feel if I fail FAR and lose a section credit. I'm thinking of moving my exam out a couple of extra weeks. My life is riding on this.

This will sound weird but failing FAR was a very numb and clarifying experience of sorts. The anger stirred up all sorts of determination to come back stronger and set this BS aside once and for all, which I did. Going from possibly done, back to fifty percent done sounds worse on paper than it really is. I've never felt more determined and more eager to pass FAR and AUD, than I err…did after failing FAR and losing AUD. It almost became a perverse obsession of sorts. I remember upping my study hours on both of those last two exams.

I'm confident that you'll finish, but do try to take the easy way if you can. 🙂

6 weeks might be fine for most people, but not for me. It takes me longer to get through things. I've been out of college for 16 years and barely use any of the information from the book. It's like new to me after so long.

I learn something and then I forget it. I have to go over it AGAIN.

I wish quitting my job was an option. I would love to have all day to study. This stuff does not come easily for me. I'm not entirely stupid, it just takes me extra time.

Or never sleeping is an option too. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 3 Exams you cannot stop. I'm right there with you. I'm 3 down and FAR to go. FAR Sucks, studying for it has been the biggest challenge. However, I've dedicated every last free minute I've had over the past 2 months and probably another month just to get it done with once and for all.

Suck it up, keep going and focus on the fact that you will not have to go through this again.

The only true failure is giving up.

“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” – Winston Churchill

Thanks. I really like your first quote by Winston Churchill. I'm going to put it on my computer monitor.

I already have the other quote (If your're going through hell, keep going) quote on my monitor. LOL. He was a wise man. Very motivational.

Rocky, no so good so far. I am going slow and have to go back all the time ( forget stuff). BUT I want to say WE CAN DO IT – both of us. Let think positive and do it! By the way do you have Ninja audio? For me it contributes a lot to my understanding and fills all my otherwise unproductive time.

    @Nora

I just posted a question about the audio on here. I have been setting up my computer in my car and listening to lectures from my review course.

I'd rather have something that is for “audio” specifically and not just the class lecture.
