    OK…

    So, I am thinking of not going to my REG test on the 28 of Feb and let my NTS expire. I have not finished the material… Have not started reviewing and time is running out. I’ll solicit it again and take it in May…

    I am still half way through my book (Becker 2011) and I don’t think two weeks is enough time to cover it completely and review.

    I don’t know what is wrong with me, I am completely out of motivation!!!! 🙁

    What to do?

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84

    2 weeks should be plenty of time. And if you are halfway through the becker book, that should mean that you have at least went over the tax, and only have the business law to go over. Just start cramming as much information as you can over the next 2 weeks and hope for the best. Thats what I did and came away with an 81, so you never know what could happen if you take the test. And if nothing else, it is good practice to see what type of questions are on the exam.

    Good luck!

    You have nothing to lose. Just take it.

    Remember: If you don't take it, you automatically fail.

    If you do take it, you have a chance at passing.

    And that chance of passing is worth you taking the exam.

    A quote from a doomed man “I'm already a dead man, the only thing I'm doing is fighting for the right to rise from the dead.”

    Fight to rise from the dead. And fight hard.

    I was in the same position for AUD. I couldn't get motivated and kept putting it off. With about 2 weeks left I just put down the books and did all the MCQ, got about 60% of them wrong, and took the test. I figured “if I pass, I pass. If I fail, next time I'll actually read the book.” Came out with an 86! I hope my same strategy will work for FAR because I'm in the same boat again….

    Jokami – you have nothing to loose, take an attempt, it will help with a retake. Focus on Partnerhsips and Corps, the B-law and the individual stuff is manageable. Two weeks is like a lifetime. I have two weeks left for AUD, you can do it !

    @mcwingnutz

    Thanks. Maybe that is just what I needed to hear. Yes I finished completely all taxes. And I understand it quite well, even the tricky questions are manageable.

    Bahh.. It is just today, I just feel overwhelmed, and tired and not capable and urrrgsh…

    @jokami, I can completely relate with “one of those days,” I have had MANY with this process. Crack yourself out on some hot caffeinated tea, and hit the books hard! Two weeks can do wonders in the study process. You have nothing to lose. I hope your blah day gets better 🙂 Just remember you have a whole cyber family supporting you!

    So rest, if you must, but don't you dare quit.

    When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

    When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

    When the funds are low and the debts are high,

    And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

    When care is pressing you down a bit-

    Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

    Life is queer with its twists and turns,

    As every one of us sometimes learns,

    And many a fellow turns about

    When he might have won had he stuck it out.

    Don't give up though the pace seems slow –

    You may succeed with another blow.

    Often the goal is nearer than

    It seems to a faint and faltering man;

    Often the struggler has given up

    Whe he might have captured the victor's cup;

    And he learned too late when the night came down,

    How close he was to the golden crown.

    Success is failure turned inside out –

    The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

    And you never can tell how close you are,

    It might be near when it seems afar;

    So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit –

    It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

    Please just take it. Don't lose it because you paid for it already. Besides, if you fail, it'll give me a greater chance of passing. 😀

    Better to push yourself for 2 weeks without motivation than kick yourself in the CPA$$ for not trying.
