My exam is in exactly one week. I decided to take a practice test using NINJA. I was on cloud 9 when I was doing the MCQ. Knew why I shouldn’t be choosing certain questions, reading carefully etc etc. I got to the simulations and I was like NINJA say whattttttt?! I was floored. What happens if this happens next week?!?! I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT! I averaged about an 87% on my MCQ practice test but did so bad on sims and caused me to FAIL. This journey has been 2 years too long for me to see another failing grade!

My plan of attack this week for sims is to take NINJA SIMS and hiya them until they cry (yeah i know I really want to pass). I took Jeffs list of sims he posted, took out the research questions, and I will go through every single one. Is any body else with me???? Dont let sims get the best of you!!!!

The simulations are definitely overlooked by many. Some just get it and don't have to look at them, but others such as myself need to do a lot of practice before the test. I learned the hard way in my prior fails but from now on I will be going over every single simulation in the book, WTB, and Ninja MCQ at least two or three times.

Count me in!! I've had issues with AUD sims since I don't know how long… :((

My test is scheduled for 10/13. I've reached question Sim 40 but not doing too good with sims yet… 🙁 I'm ready to get rid of this AUD though…*hopeful thinking and praying for a miracle*

Damn, now you're starting to make me worry. I only went over about half of the SIMS and didn't necessarily work them to the fullest. I just did them to get a feel of how the SIMS looked on the exam.

Oh yeah those sims are what got me in August and left me with a 72. I am doing my retake on Nov 21 and I WILL definitely attack those sims with a vengeance.

@Maaneet Nice! I'm scheduled for Oct 8th. lets do this! I know its discouraging but lets try to not dwell on the grade and lets try to understand what each question is asking. I found that I get overwhelmed with wordy questions. I have a Note open on my laptop with the list of SIMS and I put my grade next to each and bold the ones I should go back to.

@DunkinDonutsJunkie Dont worry! I always had a problem with SIMS. Im hoping this will help me get comfortable with reading through lengthy questions. How did you feel overall? Do you think NINJA MCQ helped you? Any advice?

PS- I named my dog Duncan because of my love for Dunkin' Donuts. Totally appreciate your DunkinDonutJunkieness. That in itself should get you a passing grade hahaha

DunkinDonut, don't sweat it some people are good at sims and some aren't. You got a good score on REG so you will be fine. People like myself and others in this thread start to panic when we don't know things so we need more practicem

For the rest, come to the Audit HW thread as there is some good info there.

@cpahopeful11 Exactly! DunkinDonuts don't go crazy over it I'm sorry if I made you worry. Yes, the Audit HW thread is awesome they help point out things that I may over look on mcq.

Any tips on tackling sims are welcome or if you want to review SIMS in here thatd be cool too =)

I know it's pretty common for people to say you don't need to practice sims, just do MCQs, but I totally believe in practicing sims. Go kill this thing!

@LilEngineThatCan, I swear by Ninja MCQ now. I went through all of the questions and feel very comfortable. The adaptive learning stage is awesome too because it keeps bringing up questions I'm not the best at, which has helped me become more familiar.

I passed AUD and I completely guessed on 5 of 7 sims. I was really solid on MC tho with Ninja. I'd say you never know until scores come out because the “curve” can push you up or down.

Sims are hit or miss. I didn't worry too much about them. If you know your stuff, it will be easy. I think the BEC written portion was more intimidating.
