The Enrolled Agent exam (same Prometric site and everything) gives you the results the very moment you press submit (okay after taking a brief survey…which is quite comical because you hold your breath, say a prayer and press submit only to see “Please take a moment and fill out this mandatory survey”). Then you hit submit and bada bing…Congrats or you suck, try again appears.
Yes, I know it would be impossible with the nonsense psychometric bariatric barometric cardiac nonsense scoring system they use today. They could build in their difficulty factors and score for each question ahead of time and create a test which is fair so that throwing out questions wouldn't be a factor. They could still have the sims as well. Maybe have the test scored upon submission for sections where there is writing involved…if the candidate can pass without points from the writing, pass them. If they are too close to pass without the writing, then delay those sections while the artificial humans (accountants) score the results manually.
Of course it could be done but then that would take away their ability to manipulate the results to generate revenue through retakes. Imagine the horror if they made a test in a window and 60%+ of the people passed because they were given a fair shake. Oh the humanity and the horror.
