offlineMemberI took the NIU CPA Review Course, and then purchased the gleim MCs. The NIU course is the best because they mail you booklets that are very easy to read, with MC after each section, and it covers everything. They also send you MP3's of the lectures if you can't make the classroom sessions.
After that, I just did gleim MCs for 2-3 weeks. Those are nice bcs I just have the software on my laptop, so whenever I have some free time I just work on it.
Does anyone know if I should put my scores on my resume or not? I have 1 semester left for my Masters in Accounting, and I plan on interviewing with CPA firms in the fall.

I'm not the definitive source about putting your scores on your resume, but with the scores you have so far I wouldn't think it'd hurt! I would think of it like GPAs. If you have high GPAs, by all means put them on a resume. If not, leave them off. I've had some recruiting experience in the past, and if I were presented with a resume with high CPA scores I definitely would think of it as a plus. I wouldn't discredit someone who did NOT put their scores on their resume, but I would see it as a good chip in your pile.
I did want to ask you, what sections of NIU's review have you taken so far through correspondence? I've done BEC, AUD, and REG so far, all live classes, but I think the material is nearly 100% identical to the correspondence. If you've taken REG I'm curious to know what you think of their prep for that section in particular. I'm still waiting (hopefully for not too much longer) for my results from REG, so I can't say just yet how well it prepped me. I'm nervous though, and I wasn't for AUD.

offlineMemberThanks I was curious. I have seen some people that read and then practice; highlight / read, or make notes and then read that do that well, and top it off with questions. I think in my recent attempts I have not saved enough time for questions. I have done in the hundreds, but not in the thousands like some have. That is my plan for my next retake of audit.

offlineMembererinemckenzie - I am waiting for Reg. I hope they post it soon for you. Last time I had to wait an extra day after the last release for an audit score. I called IL at the time and they said if it wasn't posted they didn't have, and that morning I called NASBA and they told me I should seeing a release within 24-48 hours or something like that.

offlineMemberTotally agree, its funny that we both lost credit for BEC. I passed it on 3 days studying and thought I could do that with all the sections... that is why my early REG scores all suck.

NASBA has advised the Illinois Board of Examiners that scores for the first quarter of 2011 will be released the week of March 21st.. Scores will be posted on the on-line look up as we receive them. Please do not call the Board office asking about exam scores.

You can buy the book or the CD. I bought the book. The 40 questions are in the back of the book. They go in the same order as the information in the book.
EXTREMELY EASY. No studying needed. Took me 2 hours from unwrapping the book to finish while watching People's court! Log online, take the test. You have 3 tries. It only took me one try!
Make sure to call the ILBOE after 2 weeks to confirm they have recieved your passing score for the Ethics.
