IL Work Experience question – 2,080 hours or calendar year?

IL CPA-in-progress here – I have passed all 4 exams, completed the ethics exam, and am just waiting on my final score letter and certificate number.

I found the IDFPR form I’ll need to fill out to get my license, which includes the experience verification form. The experience form has a place for “hours worked per week” and then “dates employed.” My 1 year work anniversary (public accounting firm) isn’t until mid-August, but I have almost 2,080 hours already.

Anyone know if the requirement is 2,080 hours or 365 days? thanks in advance!!

Hey Cubsfan, Congrats on the pass. I was with you waiting for that score. Actually found out I passed on my way to Brookfield with the kids.

Good question, but I'm not sure. Don't you think this form in general is a little vague. Even though I had a licensed CPA sign off on mine (I've been in my accounting role for a while now), it does not state that the accountant has to be a CPA or be currently licensed anywhere. Am I missing something?

    FAR - Bad Fail '11, Fail '12, Fail '13, PASS It's a miracle!
    AUD - Fail, PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC - PASS!!!!!!!!
REG - PASS!!!!!!!! And I'm done!
