Illinois Employment Verification Form

    Hey guys,

    I need help with Illinois Employment Verification Form.

    When I sent my Employment Verification Form to my HR, they put my supervisor’s name but the HR manager signed it off. Is that okay or would the form need to be signed by my supervisor?

    I work for a field office so the head office filled out the form and scanned/emailed it to me. Is a scanned copy good enough or does it need to be an original copy?

    Thank you all in advance!

    Damn you vile CPA! Victory shall be mine.

    I just went through this process. When I asked IDFPR who should sign the paperwork they said anyone could sign off who had authority to confirm the work that I did. In my case my direct supervisor signed, but they also said HR could sign. You may want to include a note specifying who the different parties are on the form though so IDFPR understands who signed and why. And IDFPR did say they wanted an original signature on the form that was submitted so you should probably get the original and send that in or it might be rejected.

    Good luck with the process. IDFPR is a real joy…

    @Stewie:

    DJN was kind enough to inform me that you can request ILBOA directly send your scores to IDFPR, free of charge. I strongly recommend this as you will have a record that IDFPR is in possession of your scores. It can be done directly from the ILBOA website. Thanks to DJN for that advice.

    From the time I sent application in to licensure it took about 2 weeks, so IDFPR isn't takiing too long right now.

    leglock, thank you for posting that info about having ILBOA send the score, I forgot about that!

    And two weeks — that's awesome! I bet you were thrilled to get that piece of paper in the mail (I sure was!!!).

    Yes, was very thankful.

    Now the fun part of seeking employment as a nearly 40 y/o applicant exiting the land development business in the beautiful chicago area market. I'm sure I fit the mold of most entry level candidates. Fun times are definitely ahead.

    Thank you DJN and leglock.

    DJN: I will try to get the form with the original signature and avoid the risk of being rejected.

    leglock: I remember you told me about the ILBOA score in my other post. That's what I did. However, AICPA hasn't sent my ethics score yet ( which I think they will do at the end of this month). So ILBOA said they will only send the scores after they get my Ethics score. Waiting for that part. After I know they did that, I will send these forms to IDFPR.

    BTW, if you don't mind a frozen tundra, we have a plenty of jobs in North Dakota. 🙂
