Just passed my last exam. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a letter from the CBA?

BEC: 4/15/13 - 79
AUD: 7/15/13 - 75
REG: 8/28/13 - 77
FAR: 11/26/13 - 75

HI! You do not have to wait for the letter to purchase the ethics exam or download the license application. The letter took a few weeks for me. Congratulations!

Make sure you send all of your paperwork in the next couple of days. The educational requirements are changing in January.

Actually, I'm done too as of this last score release, and I called the CBA intial licensing dept. and they said the 1/1/14 deadline only applies to the passing of the 4 exams, you can take your time (if you want) on the other parts of the licensing requirements, so long as everything is done by 2015 🙂

@km13, Study Monk – actually, CA passed a law that as long as you pass by 12/31/13 you have two extra years of the old pathways.

@littlenumberrobot, as per our understanding as being CA candidates the law is proposed but not yet passed, so the old Jan 2014 rules will still apply, the rules are passed all four sections, complete the work exp requirement, complete ethics and fingerprints and submit by latest 12/31/2014. You can also visit CA website the law is not yet passed and CA stated the new rules. It not only passing the exams but also the ethics and work exp with submission before 12/31/2013. It will be much appreciated if you can share the link if you have updated info.

@CPA4birthdaypresent, I got different answer from CA board they told me you must pass all the exams including ethics and submit complete application including work exp and fingerprints (it sucks as I am out of CA) by 12/31/13

otherwise new rules will apply to you from 1/1/14. As I am safe regarding new rules that's why I stopped further research but make sure, as we can't see anything official that the law has been approved. CA board did stated in their letter if you read online that it is a matter of urgency but still not decision. May be we hear something good in coming days which is extension till 2015.
