Wow I feel really exhausted. Is snowing in my hometown and have been studying hard in the last days and working.
Today I wanted to read and write notes but honestly I just can’t, but I feel guilty..
Just expressing myself, I don’t have other people that share this pain,
Thanks to read

It's ok to take a little break, you probably won't learn much studying in that state anyway. I've been there so you are not alone. Free your mind for a bit and then get back to it 🙂

December 19, 2013 at 10:40 am #496214AnonymousInactiveI always took one day off studying. You have to! I usually watched movies and stuff, than the following day I was ready to study and felt reenergized.

Even just a few hours can make a huge difference if you don't feel like you can take a whole day! But I would do a day off per week, because otherwise, my studying became so inefficient that I lost more time trying to study and work 7 days a week than just 6. Movies, naps, runs, gaming-sessions, whatever makes you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Quality of study hours over quantity of study hours!

December 19, 2013 at 5:47 pm #496218AnonymousInactiveIMO, if you feel like you can keep studying productively (keyword – productively), then you need to suck it up and keep studying. Otherwise, give yourself a break – sometimes you need to let go. Like Lilla said, quality over quantity.
For me getting a break depended on the degree of guilt. I studied every day, unless it was a day of the exam or the one after. And sometimes it wasn't a lot of studying (maybe an hour or two), but enough to calm myself down and not feel too guilty about not studying every available minute.
I created a study plan for reviewing for FAR and I was falling behind and burning out. At the point where I couldn't think (all of my thoughts were along the lines of “I can't take this anymore”) I went to see “Ender's Game” and “Thor: The Dark World”. I can't say the next day I was good as new, but it was a hell of a lot easier to study.

December 19, 2013 at 5:51 pm #496220AnonymousInactiveStudying is not a marathon. We train for marathons and then when the marathon is over, and then we stop. Studying is like training for your entire life.
What does it profit to train for a marathon and wear out your knee caps?
Nay. I say much better to train so that you can train forever. This is test is like life. Life is not like a marathon, although sometimes certain parts of life feel like that, such as actually taking a 5 hour exam.
This exam process though, in my experience, is like training for the sake of training. Study to improve your knowledge and rest when you need to rest. It may take you longer, but you will save your self blown kneecaps.
Part of relaxing is learning not to feel guilt. Doing this improves cognition. Meditation improves learning, but too much meditation can be detrimental too.
When you life weights, do you rest and let the muscle recover. Yes…do you feel bad about it? Nay…
So do you try and run 20 miles once a week to run a marathon once a year…and then after a few years be too crippled to run anymore?
Or do you run 2 miles every other day until your 90.
The choice is yours.
Do you lift weights to eat like a slob meanwhile overtraining and destroying your nerves?
Or do you moderately train weights and eat healthy?
Choice is ours.
