I'm so nervous

    Hi guys,

I have FAR exam on May 28.

I am so nervous. I am not used to working that hard (i.e. for college I study the night before and manage to get an A). I always feel like I’m not doing enough studying for CPA. This whole FAR preparation is making me uncomfortable.

What if I fail? Do you have these fears? What do you do about them?

I feel guilty whenever I go out for a few hours… I feel like I should be studying instead… Even when I work out, I feel like I should be studying…

I admit it, I’m afraid of failing… I know that I am supposed to take these types of tests lightly, but I can’t help it..

What makes it hard is that your score doesn’t show up on the screen when you hit submit (like the GMAT for example)… You actually have to wait for a few weeks to receive your score….

    <emotional talk here :)>

What you're feeling is completely normal. I feel guilty if I even go to dinner with my husband because I should be studying. Prepare the best you can. Maybe at the gym, listen to the Ninja audio so you're still studying? Boring, I know, but an option!

Remember, failing a test doesn't mean you've failed. Pick yourself up and keep moving. I don't know a single ‘failure' with that attitude.

    Best of luck to you!

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.

Hey there. I'm going to be taking it for the first time too on May 15th. Of course I do not want to fail just like you, but I am not nervous or worried. Here's my perspective on it and maybe it might make you feel less worried.

    1. Hey come on! The CPA exam IS one of the hardest exams! What's so surprising if I fail. I'll be surprise if I pass on my first shot.

    2. A huge portion of the CPA exam is actually just memorization. If I don't pass, it simply means I didn't remember or know enough of the material. But hey! At that point, I already know some of it. Now I just need to study more and remember more. Sooner or later I know I will pass. I can take this as many times as I want. And no one will even know!

    3. Hey! What's the point of worrying? It changes nothing. Just do my thing for now and whatever comes, then whatever comes.
