I think I've found a template that I like.
It was missing some features like the "freshness" link to the last post, which I figured out how to copy/paste the feature from another template to make it work.
Also - at the bottom of each post, instead of scrolling back up to the top to get get back out of the topic and go to the main page, I put a link back to the main forum down there so scrolling isn't necessary.
If there's anything else that can be done to improve usability, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
