   Hi all,

   What would be the correct answer for the below question and why?

   Which one of the below choices having the CFO position of the client under audit would not impair auditor's independence?

   1) Grandparent
   2) Sibling
   3) Non-related dependent
   4) Spouse

   I would go with number 4 spouse, since spouse is a covered member, the others are just close relative. :) hope im right.

   Spouse is out. Same thing with non related dependent since you would have influence over them. So we have grandpa and sibling left. I'd say grandpa because sibling is a closer relative than grandpa.

   Grandparents- (are considered ancestors, not close family) -as long as they are not dependents.

   1) spouse-close relative, thats out
   2) dependent- conflict of interest? close relative I'd say?

   its either the dependent or grandparent but I'd go with grandparents

   Another vote for grandparent but chuckling at the notion of a CFO being considered a dependant to anybody else!
