I live in PA and I was told that you need to go through an interview, which you also have to pass, after passing the CPA exam. Is this accurate? Do you have to go through an interview with, perhaps the Board, to be able to obtain your CPA license after everything you’ ve been through to pass all four parts? Your responses will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Bill! That would be a relief. I cant imagine going through an unterview without knowing any sort of criteria for evaluation and to determine wheter you pass or not. Plus it seems redundant and ridiculous.

I have never head of that but if you ever have a question like this you really should go read your State Board's rules on licensing…

That's not true. Go to the Pennsylvania State Boards of Accountancy. You have to apply for licensure and prove experience, education, etc but no interview if required.

In order for the State Board to issue you a license, there is a test to see if you can 1) Pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time and 2) Successfully win a thumb war against a State Board Member…..

    😀 ;P

Thanks Brooks and Mkpaige for yor input. I did do my research and checked the State Board and did not find anything about. I also did ask a couple coworkers and they were interviewed. I just think that it may be something internal at work.
