YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SECTION LEFT!! And you've only been doing this for six months. If that isn't encouraging, I don't know what is…

I know what you mean, KJCPA, I feel the same way sometimes. I'm halfway through (AUD and FAR left) and there are many times when I just get disgusted with what my life has become. For me it's mostly class + studying for class + studying for the CPA + seeing my girlfriend when I can. I almost feel like I don't know who I am anymore. I guess it's expected though and everything will be back to normal WHEN you pass the last part. Chin up, the end is near. For me, fresh air works wonders. Go for a walk or go sit outside for a while (without studying), especially now that the weather is getting nicer. You'll be glad that you did!

I am so sorry. I just re-read what I posted and realized just how bitchy and bitter I sounded! I did not intend for that to come across like that. What I meant was I have been at this for nearly 4 years and I completely get the “no life” thing. It is seriously depressing. But you are so close and have done such a great job don't let it get to you now. Look at my scores and use me as the Poster Child for What Not To Do! Get some rest and then get back to it. It will all be worth it in the long run! Good Luck and sorry again for sounding kinda hateful! I'm really a nice person!

Take your sob story somewhere else. You've been at this since November 2011 and you're already complaining? Please…there are people on here who have struggled for years (Kricket is one…she's just too nice to say anything). Sack up and push through, brotha!

Just sayin, Kricket…the dude is kickin butt! He/she should be very proud of him/herself, but complaining about it is kind of a slap in the face to anyone who's been at this for longer that 4 months…sorry if I offended you, KJCPA…

@BaseballCPA – I now have a new motto, “Sack up and push through!”. If you sent a motivational email once a day like an abusive and enraged Napoleon Hill, I would be your first subscriber. FYI also a former baseball player, word.

    Sorry to thread jack. 🙂

Lord, please give me a ready recollection of the things I have studied. Amen.

I would give up my left nuts (if I had any) and six month of my life to have all your scores. Suck it up!

    hey yall.

i m studying for FAR too, and i have to say we re all in this boat together.

no one is excited to study for the CPAs (well…at least as far as i know).

i am dreading exam day..and to think of all the review material i still have to go through.

just think of this period as hell…..and when you re through, it will feel like heaven 🙂

and judging from your scores, you re nearly done. you should be proud of yourself!

think of all those people who still have to go through what you ve already been through.

we all just need encouragement now and then.

    gl! you ll pull through!

actually, 3/4th of the way through, i always not completely depressed at all, i was used to it. i was whiney and mopey about having to study for about 6 weeks, then it just became routine. its kind of like tax season

You only have one left, so focus on the light at the end of the tunnel over anything else. I think everyone experiences some level of the blues when they have to eat, live, breathe accounting and put most other things on hold while they trudge through the CPA.

Above all, make sure you're getting the proper nutrition and DO NOT use your studies as an excuse to put off exercise – if only 20 minutes per day. Those contribute significantly to your mood and health. I didn't watch my food/exercise, put on 20 lbs, started experiencing weekly migraine attacks, sometimes more frequent. I took my last exam Nov 2011 and I'm still working on undoing that damage.

And when you're discouraged, take BaseballCPAs comment to heart – there are plenty of people going at it for much longer than 6 months and they know what you're going through. Hang in there, there is an end to this!

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

    Used NIU Correspondence CPA Review
