It’s too late to ask this question as my test is on 29th May, I passed my other 3 sections with exclusively using Becker, but somehow I am panicking for my last section of CPA exam. Need some reassurance from Becker student who have used Becker exclusively, and managed to pass this section of CPA exam.

It has so many rules and so many miniature details. I am worried.I am sure Becker users must be able to answer me.

Yeah, it is plenty. I used the Blitz/Audio/Notes to supplement but Becker is enough from what I saw. The Ninja stuff was exactly what I used it for a supplement to solidify things with repetition. I passed on my first try and it was my first exam. Some people complain that they got tested on something very briefly covered by Becker and the exam got more detailed, but you'll be able to figure it out. I think the examiners know what the review courses provide and want to make you go that next step of applying or educated guessing what you know. That's why I believe someone can study so much and fail…the examiners don't ask you straight up..you need to think outside of just the memorization. Anyways, don't worry, you'll be fine!

I used Becker and I passed my first time. I thought BEC was the easiest section. But that may be because I have a Finance degree as well so a lot of the financial/hedging topics were a little familiar to me. You'll be fine.

Reviewed with Becker felt well prepared for REG as well as all the other exams. Its very comprehensive review material. Supplemented BEC and FAR with Ninja MCQ. Best $47 I ever spent.

THE 300 CLUB WILL DO JUST FINE!

Becker is enough for REG. I actually scored the highest in REG (83) but that might be the fact that it was my last section and I doubled down on the studying to put the thing to rest.

It's enough, though of the 3 sections I have taken using Becker I think REG prepares you the least. My score was from my one year of experience in tax. That being said if you have passed the other three you should be sufficient for REG.

    BEC - 82
    REG - 86
    FAR - 85
    AUD - 84 and I'm out!!!!!
    Ethics - 95

Act IV: Serve as Successor to Elon Musk as CEO of Tesla.
Act V: Ensure Judgment Day has been stopped. Utopia achieved.

Thank you all for such a valuable Inputs, Whenever I follow Regulation study group here, I feel I don't know this I don't know that. And its kind of a shacky feeling to see things are not well covered in those areas..

One more question, If any one of you can answer me, What was your strategy for REG? Did you guys just retouched R1 to R4 over and over again? Or Regulation test was equally distributed from R1 to R8 questions?

    Please reply

    Thanks..

Sometimes the REG study group posts questions that are way too in depth and very nitpicky. That's why people post the questions up, because they're annoying questions. No one really posts “easy” or “medium” questions in there, many of which will appear on the actual exam.

This was how I studied for REG:

Study R1-R4 as it's own block.

Study Ethics and SEC regulations together

    Study BLaw and Business Structures

I then did 24 question progress tests on R1-R4 over and over again. For every 3 Tax progress tests, I did 1 R5-R8 progress test. In total, I did about 100 progress tests and I ended up scoring Stronger/comparable in every section in Reg except for 1.

@Club300 I really appreciate your input…Since yesterday night I started taking 10 question test from R1 to R4..I am still revising Blaw part. Now, as you mentioned you did something like what I am thinking helps a lot. Congratulations on accomplishing CPA journey.

Thanks a lot for sharing your strategy. You don't know how you have helped me :). Somehow, I am always in bubble 77 in all tests…So, worrying like anything.

I know I'm a little late to this, but I used only Becker on FAR and REG and got a 91 on REG! And I have no tax experience. Just keep studying hard and going over the Becker MCQ and SIMS, and you should be fine! Hope this helps!

    FAR - 81 (2/23/2015)
    REG - 91 (4/16/2015)
    AUD - 91 (5/26/2015)
    BEC - 76 (7/20/2015)

    I'M DONE!!!!

@Jb2015 thanks a lot for sharing..The concern with me is the same that I dont have any tax experience. But your score is too good, hopefully I will make at least 75 🙂

REG is the only exam I pass on the first try. I used Becker only on REG, but I also have tax experience…though I felt like I didn't have much tax related questions or sims.

REG is the only test I've taken so far, but I used only Becker (work pays for it). I have no tax experience, just audit. I only took an individual taxation class in college, so all of the corporate/partnership taxation was brand new to me.

I thought Becker prepared me very well; maybe even overprepared me, which I think was ideal. 🙂 For Becker's two REG final exams, I felt that the multiple choice were pretty representative of what was on my actual exam. The sims are a different animal though… on my exam they were very difficult (much harder than the Becker final exam sims)… I walked out feeling like I had no idea how I did… wouldn't have been surprised if I passed or failed, just based on the sims.

Becker tells you what percent of your exam questions to expect from each lecture (R1-R8), which was pretty accurate for me. You also have to remember that the exam can only have so many questions, and of course they're going to test on the main concepts/exceptions that you should know. It was more helpful for me to focus on the concepts and tax laws than to go through questions over and over…. if you do questions, make sure you understand them and WHY you're getting them wrong. Doing questions alone won't necessarily help if you don't understand them. 🙂

Anyway, good luck on your exam!! I'm planning on sticking with Becker for the rest of my exams… hoping it works out haha.

    REG - 86 (4/11/15)
    BEC - 92 (5/29/15)
    AUD - 99 (7/23/15)
    FAR - 89 (11/23/15) It's over!!!
