Depends who you ask. πŸ™‚ If you look around here (or if you get a lot of responses), you'll see people who think it's worth every penny and people who wouldn't buy it if it was free. It wouldn't have been worth it for me – lectures are not my best way to learn, and their lectures weren't the best for me of the ones that I sampled. However, for some people, it's absolutely perfect.

If you're looking to pick a review material, my best suggestion is to find samples of all the main ones – Roger, Yaeger, CPAExcel, Gleim, Becker, etc – and see which ones you learn most from. Don't forget Wiley either – that's what I used and loved, but it is book-based (no video lectures), so not good for people who struggle to learn from reading. The only one that is worth the cost is the one that enables you to pass the exams…so if Becker seems like what you'll learn best from, then it's worth every penny; if Roger seems like what you'll learn best from, then it's the one that's worth every penny; etc/

I think they have the best CPA review course for FAR AND REG. From what I have gathered here, Roger CPA is the best course for Audit. Which is the best course for BEC>?

I use Becker and if I had to do it all over again (knock on wood) I would use Becker again in a heartbeat πŸ™‚

Bird, did you feel that Becker was more of a review for a person who just graduated college? What was your backgorund when you first took FAR? I have read many postings here saying that Becker does not teach anything.

I won Becker CPA review scholarship so I had a chance to use it but you know how it goes with everything you get for free πŸ˜‰ The lectures were mostly about “highlight this, underline that” and literally put me to sleep every time! I didn't really practice the MCQs much before they expired. I did like the textbooks. But Roger's lectures were way better – he actually explained the concepts, showed how to solve most complicated questions, and kept it entertaining so I felt like I wanted to study!

So, if you get it for free – get it. If not, I'd rather spend my money on Roger which I did and I consider it the best investment I've ever made.
