Is firm provided Becker taxable income?

    Deloitte considers Becker taxable income, and requires income tax on their contract price of $1578 split over two pay periods. Do all the firms do this? I am an auditor, so I just want to make sure this is right. Thanks!

    If they provide it, you use it, and they own it, I would say “no”; if they give it to you and you own it, then “yes”.

    Yes it is taxable if the firm purchases it on your behalf. If you use the search function on this forum “Becker taxable” you'll see many threads on this topic.

    It didn't used to be but sometime in 2013 I believe IRS rules changed and they started counting it as taxable income. I got my Becker in 2013 and they had to add it to my income for 2014.
