Is it normal for REG to be scaring the begeezus out of me?

This is my final section. I always start getting overwhelmed when I dig into the material but am always able to calm myself down… I know I can do it if I put my mind to it.

But I can’t lie… I’m two days into studying REG and I’m terrified. I have no tax experience and the level of detail is very intimidating.

Can someone just lie to me and tell me it’s not that bad??? šŸ™‚ Or at least similar to FAR when it’s all said and done?

I guess I just need to stay focused and keep plugging away here. It just seems a lot more difficult than the other sections.

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

It's the most technical of all the sections. It was definitely the most difficult section for me and it intimidated the heck out of me.

Just keep at it and do the Wiley MCQ's as many times over as you can. You'll thank me and Wiley later.

@CPApending… So would you say an insane amount of Wiley MCQ is the way to go here? Kind of a given I know but I'd like to keep that in mind. I usually go for 1,500 – 2,000 before each exam. I'll target the 2,000 number for REG.

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

My advice, for what it's worth, work ALL of the Wiley problems, multiple times, write down why you got each question wrong and why the right answer is right, listen to the Ninja Audio constantly for weeks before the exam, and pray (pray a lot)! REG was my nightmare child!!! I also don't do taxes, meaning, I don't even do my own. My boss does my taxes.

I just finished up all my REG lectures, 48 hours worth, and just started doing MCQ and it's starting to click. Don't worry about full comprehension right away, just get a feel for the material then after you do a Tom of MCQ the material will start to click.

    FAR- 8/14/12 91
    AUD- 10/16/12 88
    BEC- 11/07/12 92
    REG- 01/05/13 86

    What Kricket said.

I went through my first attempt just trying a certain number of questions. It didn't work. Because I only did those questions once.

Every Wiley question multiple times was my key. Wiley works the edges and includes all the information you need to know.
