Is it ok to give my boss a prepaid mailing label for the work experience form?

For the work experience form, it clearly states that it must be mailed DIRECTLY by the employer. However, my supervisor wants to mail it regular mail. I would much rather him send it via priority mail with tracking and signature confirmation to ensure that it gets to where it’s supposed to? He’s afraid to do that because the company is very cheap when it comes to postage and since this is not something urgent, the company will not approve. I asked him if I could print him a prepaid label from my personal USPS account. He said it’s ok.

Now my question is… Is this ok? I will put the employer’s return address on the label, not mine. But will they be able to tell that I, personally created the label and therefore, will think that I mailed it, not my employer. Mind you, my employer IS mailing it, but I will be the one to create the postage. Other than the return address, will they be able to tell that I made the label? This is probably a stupid question, but I’m not sure how they can tell and I’m afraid I might get rejected because of it. I’m not sure if they have some sneaky way of finding out.

The whole you mailing it, or your employer mailing it is pretty much on the honor system. If the board punches the tracking number into UPS (which they won't) and your names pops up as the shipper I suppose it could cause some issues, but the fact wouldnt change that he mailed it, under his control.

If a client runs confirmations through their postage meter, but the auditor drops the them off at the post office, has the auditor sufficiently completed the requirement of mailing under their control? Yes.

So my answer would be, pay the shipping for the cheap bastards and let your boss send it off.
