Let him go! If he can't take the heat, throw his butt out of the kitchen! You can do better.

I agree with Kricket! If he can't even support you through your CPA, how is he going to support you in other challenges that couples will inevitably face later on in life?

    AUD - 91
    FAR - 90
    REG - 87
    BEC - 91
    Ethics - 98

I honestly have to say that it might just be for the best. A lot of people will never understand what CPA studying is all about, unless they try it themselves. I know if I was dating someone right now, not only would I be miserable but I'd be bringing him down with me. Let him go and do your single girl CPA thingggggg. 🙂

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    USC MAcc- Fight on!

They say good things come to those who wait, but only those things that are left by those who hustle.

I'm a dude and I say good for you.

The CPA exam, albeit a pain in the butt, is lightweight stuff compared to some of the stuff that life has thrown my way in 20 years of marriage (been together 26 years total)….and I am only 29! 😀 Okay maybe a little older than 29 :D. We met in High School so we have been through the struggles of college, starting careers, changing careers, kids, work and kids, layoffs, money being tight, deaths of loved ones, etc. The CPA exam is NOTHING compared to some of the things you will experience in life.

I can say that if this dolt is going to run off just because you aren’t doting on him all the time, then so be it. You are better off without him, just make sure you don’t let him back in when he realizes the grass isn’t greener on the other side and comes crawling back.

I tell my son and daughter that a) you can’t fix broken people and b) life is hard, you need someone who will stand with you through the thick and thin and never stray.

Unfortunately I may be saying the same thing shortly…only mine is my husband. Obviously not only because of the CPA studying. But it has sucked trying to study while the rest of my life falls apart. 🙁

I agree with the others, if he can't support you through this time, consider yourself lucky to have found out early on.

    AUD 85 (2/12) Using Becker
    FAR 81 (5/12)
    BEC 79 (7/13)
    REG 85 (10/1)

All the single boys / men will be your online partners, study partners from now on…. :)_

From a men's perspective,i wonder if you studying for the cpa exam was the real reason or he wanted a way out and used this as an excuse?

    Goodluck on your Audit exam…..
